Tata Motors is going to take the bolder step with the new Harrier EV in India under the electric SUV segment, as one of the heavily anticipated electric vehicles in India.
It aims to combine the rugged capabilities that a traditional SUV would offer with the clean efficiency of electric power in its drive. It promises a driving range of around 500 kilometers, among other high-tech facilities, including all-wheel drive (AWD), and is expected to become a game-changer on Indian roads.
A Striking Design with Modern Touches
The Harrier EV, similar to its diesel sibling, carries the muscular design forward, albeit with a few futuristic touches. Most probably, the front grille will be sealed as that of most other EVs, while the bumper will have a new detailing attached.
It will also come with sleek LED headlamps, redesigned tail-lamps, and signature naming of badging unique to EVs. The overall look will be premium and bold, making it equally fit for commuting around the city and long drives down the highway.
Impressive Range and All-Wheel Drive Capabilities
Of the best highlights from the Tata Harrier EV would surely be its potential range of 500 kilometers on one full charge. This will certainly make it among the longest-range EVs in its overall segment. Also, Tata will be installing all-wheel drive in Harrier EV to enhance traction, handling, and off-road capability even more. This structure will permit swifter acceleration and more stable steering during difficult road conditions with the dual motors.
Technical Cabin and Advanced Features
The Harrier EV is also expected to be loaded with technology on the inside of the cabin. It is geared with the most extensive touch-screen infotainment system up to now; the megamixed digital instrument cluster; wireless charging; ventilated seats; connected car technology; and probably a panoramic sunroof. Level 2 ADAS would also be brought in by Tata for safety and convenience.
Launch Timeline and Pricing Expectations
According to estimates, Tata Harrier EV will be launched around the end of 2024 or in early 2025. Pricing is expected to start from around ₹30 lakh (ex-showroom), depending on variants and battery configurations. With its solid range, modern features, and robust build, the Harrier EV is ready to make a strong impression in India’s growing EV market.
